The length of it north south is very similar to Toronto for sure...their Bloor area (Northend) , is getting denser yearly, while Nations bank sits quite alone much like Aura will for some time. 10 years ago, they were even more similar, but our recent boom has really changed that.

There is a ton of misinformation in this post. The biggest foreign investors in Vancouver real estate are from mainland China, not Hong Kong. The vast majority of them are not "flippers" either, they are buying for relatives or to live in themselves. The highest end of the market is however dominated by mainland Chinese buyers.

It's just $1.2 million if you are willing to forgo a bathroom.
You make these wild claims but yet you never cite any sources. I pay close attention to the news and the real estate market in BC and have heard none of this. Where are you getting your info from?

Seems really old, Ritz, Festival and RBC are still rendered and the old trump height is shown. It's also missing a ton in the entertainment district. Also don't know what is happening with Aura, is that an old design or is it just a deceptive looking image?

Edit* Just followed your link... this is a repost of one of your posts from 2007.... relevance?

Cool looking interpretation of a future skyline of Maldive former member here.

He doesn't make future renders anymore, because he was criticized continually for the work he did on this forum in particular. (with regards to his interpretations of future skylines of Toronto)

Cool Future Toronto rendering! It shows the impact that L Tower, Aura and Shangri La will have on the skyline. Shangri La should (does already?) dominate University Ave big time! Even if it's a bit old, it's clearly still relevent. I was happy to see it.

North York should be more urban. Don't think it will happen for sometime soon.

NYCC feels insanely sick at street level (except for Yonge/Sheppard)... and you don't see how suburban it is till you get an aerial pic like that ^^^

That's a sweet rendering of L. One of the most exciting projects rising in the city right now. This and One Bloor will keep things interesting on Yonge Street for years to come.

Probably the one of the best ground level photoshop jobs I've ever seen. - Hope he does some more, sure are enough photos of models floating around out there. Nothing to hold him back in that regard.

Funny thing is most of them already are...

L tower looks great in that render, I hope the quality of glazing can match the rendering. It's probably the Toronto highrise development I'm most excited for.

Anyone wanna make a future skyline rendering for Burnaby - Metrotown? I bet it would be quite interesting since we have 5 buildings over 100 meters proposed/on-hold/uc... and 2 over 140!

Pretty exciting times for Suburbs in Canada!

^ In Vancouver and Toronto maybe... I don't see highrises over 100 m going up in the Montreal suburbs anytime soon.
