That's looks to be shot from around 17th St & 4th Ave, South Slope. I used to live in a 5th floor walk up on 17th between 4th and 5th with this view except lower, and then they built the building foreground right which blocked almost everything.

That's the Prospect Expwy, and the elevated station beyond is Smith & 9th F/G and the Gowanus Canal below. I've linked the street view of the building I believe it's taken from below.

Wasn't too long ago people were questioning why this building was taking so long to rise. But as expected, it's shooting up and moving with great speed now.

And it looks very much like the renderings.

My new desktop background haha New York is just something else. City and city and city for miles haha gigantic metropolis lol nowhere else like it. Gigantic concrete jungle lol I grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin and would visit Chicago every few years. Always thought Chicago was insanely huge. Then visited New York when i was 22 and went to the top of the Empire State Building and saw what is a much bigger city haha Chicago needs an outdoor observation deck though lol And Chicago is awesome, but its small compared to nyc

9 DeKalb visible in the skyline. Few more months, will be very noticeable from this angle. To the left of 11 Hoyt.

^Ho Lee Shit. That's all the verbiage I can muster at the moment. In fact, I can't even remember my name.

my only markdown is the visible seam between the terracotta and bronze/aluminum panels. That's fine on glass, but distracting on other elements. Other than that, fantastic.

Absolutely amazing. That facade is fantastic. Better than the renderings.

Love this tower, but the low-quality glass is a shame. This building deserves so much better

its a great design, but actually lets be thankful for jds for pulling the trigger and not value engineering it into mediocrity. that takes a lot of coin, pride and confidence.

JDS brought us this as well as Steinway, but they could have gone with any other firm, who could have pulled a nice design also. SHoP gives us a particular style which I am grateful for. I'm also grateful for the next addition JDS will bring to the skyline, whoever they choose to go with. And of course, for the many new skyscrapers that keep the skyline fresh.

What makes you think the glass is "low quality"?
