It's not that I would blame on them. Their celebrations would be more exalted and passionate than your typical Catholic mass. They play their music and dance for their fun, which is cool.

But their speech about their life after death is really weird, isn't it? They're annoying with their death. They come to you in the streets, telling you about their strange doctrine.
Last time they did this to me on a sidewalk, I almost felt like I had to preach the Gospel to them. Why do they talk to you about their death? Jesus doesn't care about it, only teaching about life indeed.
Bwahaha, I was like thinking - what do you guys know about death? Hey, you try it, you do the experience, then come back to me and tell me about it. I'll listen to you with much much attention then.

^ for the record fiston, the people that preach that stuff in america do so because they were booted out of england and elsewhere back in the day for doing it.

nowadays, its harmless in manchester, if indeed they even are american, they could well be locals, but unfortunately over here they install people like trump. which is pretty funny because he is as godless and amoral as it gets.

When I think of Manchester, great town, but beside dreary northern weather, I only think of;

The Smiths
Morrissey
Oasis
New Order
Joy Division
The Verve
The Stone Roses
James
Buzzcocks
Courteeners
Charlatans
Happy Mondays
Elbow................and so on and so forth

Those preachers above are locals. You`ll only see American missionaries and preachers on rare occasions. There`s far worse types than them roaming the streets (particularly in that small part of the city centre), so personally I have no problem with them. Just walk past them. The worst they will do is offer you a leaflet.

Unfortunately earlier this year Manchester got more than its fair share of dreary northern weather. For most parts the dreary weather isn`t quite to the extent it`s often portrayed. Never realised Manchester music was known worldwide.

Thanks for the input.

funny enough (and unlike many threads) the last thing i am noticing here is the weather.

and yes about those many, many manchester bands we all know and loved, this thread is definitely triggering us about it. could you show us a few of the sites related to them when you get a chance? i.e.., the former hacienda club and all that. gracias + keep'em coming!

Thanks.

This bland red brick building is where the Hacienda club was. Now named Hacienda Apartments.
