I will say, even if it doesn't become our tallest. I know this building will stand out, and I am so ready. I hope April is the month they decide to show us this bad girl. I can't believe it's been almost two years since it was announced.
I'm guessing, and this is just a guess, that it will be 1.5 to 2 times as tall as the old Frost Headquarters. Somewhere between 450' and 600'.

We should have a guessing game. SKW buys lunch for whoever guesses closest to the final height. I'll go with 520'.

I would literally be ecstatic over a design like this. Modern but similar in style with some of our other point towers. Frost is supposed to be 400K sqft and this one is slightly bigger at 532K sqft but that crown tho...

Trust me, there is no need to worry. I'm fairly certain SAtown is just talking about the release of renderings.

These guys can keep a secret.

If they still want to break ground this fall, something should be forthcoming soon.

Until then, I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.

sirkingwilliam is correct! Did not mean any confusion--Frost Tower WILL be built. The renderings are not going to be released "any day now". There are a lot of rings to kiss beforehand... We just need to be patient!!!

LOL!!
You make a great point. Most people would be more interested living in a city with a vibrant street level and reliable transportation system than an impressive skyline.

It won't be the new tallest for San Antonio.

That's not based on opinion either.

So, it doesn't have to be a "new" tallest, as long as it is an "iconic new" tower in downtown SA!!

....Maybe Weston is planning on turning the old, rundown shopping center 0ff Hwy 90 near the Wolff municipal stadium into the New Frost headquarters, in the same vein as Rackspace! It would be cheaper and would be great adaptive reuse!

I'm so tired of waiting for San Antonio to do something grand. I swear to God I hope this thing isn't built if it's under 500 feet. That would be a true waste and a catalyst to nothing.
