Awesome pictures!! Love them!! My favourite part: it says day 1 which implies there is a day 2 to come

Beautiful pictures! That is some dedication. I would be afraid to bring my camera out in this tonight.

Can't wait to see days 2 and 3, as this is suppose to go into Saturday.

Your snow pics are beautiful Signal. I'm not sure what the actual forecast is for St.John's, but I just read 100 cm. of snow.

I think 100cm is only forecasted in a very unlikely weather model. The official forecast is for 70-80cm but CTV rounds up I guess!

But yes, 110km/h winds and lots of snow! Did you all order your pizzas and chinese food??

Not very unlikely, but yes, it turns out it is one of the least likely.

However, Ayeronaut heard on the radio that the wind could create drifts of 3m.

I was out for a stroll as well, I believe at around the same time as Signal. I had to huddle in a few corners to change lenses, which was quite the ordeal tonight. Tomorrow night I might even bring my tripod out to try some long exposures, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to have my camera exposed for that long.

As usual, mine are just on facebook for now, so they're not the greatest quality uploads.

I had so much fun though!

Awesome pictures Ayreonaut! I love how everything looks so deserted. It makes it seem very.. 1800's! and you both have great shots of water street because there is finally no cars in the way!

You should definitely brave "Day 2" and get some more of your fantastic shots along with signal!

I love this city

Thanks Signal, those are my faves, too. Though I also like how brutal the weather looks with the boats.

Oh I know I'll be out again. If I spot some other nut out there with his camera I'll definitely check to find out if it's Signal.

Yeah, I love the boat ones too. I just had that goddamn fence too much to appreciate it fully, ha!

Edit: Also, AAAHHH!!! I am so excited for this thread. We have at least three of us now with SLRs who will be out and about taking pictures.

It's very cool. And J does project updates we rarely think of as well.

If it's the video I think it is, then yes. And I also heard the audio from it on the radio yesterday afternoon, haha.

I jumped up on the backs of the benches.

And, y'know, I've got a few inches on you in addition to that.
