Spirit Airlines is coming to Cleveland

Spirit Airlines, an ultra-low cost carrier is going to start flying from Cleveland on January 15th, 2015. Flights will be to Dallas-Fort Worth (February 5th), Fort Lauderdale (February 5, 2015), Los Angeles (April 16, 2015), Las Vegas (February 5, 2015), and Orlando (January 15, 2015). Seasonal flights will be to Fort Myers (January 15, 2015), Myrtle Beach (April 16, 2015), and Tampa (January 15, 2015).

It is the worst airline I have ever flown. Get ready for suspicious charges on your credit card (which they will not refund, under any circumstances); get ready to be charged for a cup of water onboard; get ready to get bruises on your knees from lack of legroom (unless you're under 5'5" or so).

Not worth it, even for the frugal. Penny wise, pound foolish.

You said it. Maybe for an under 2 hour flight for a weekend trip with a small carry-on if the price was significantly less. But never ever for anything more than that. Just an awful experience.

Never said I was thrilled about it...just making a note that it is happening. The only upside is that it MAY lower prices for airfare some...

ever sat in the back of a greyhound bus? its like that, with wings. ghettto. but if you are getting drunk on your way to las vegas like the four russian bros who were in front of me (they drank all the vodka on the cart) then it might be different i guess. meh......
