Thanks WestAust! I work literally a block away but never go look at these construction sites.

Its always fascinating to see renders like this having a blatant disregard to the immediate surroundings. The way it's rendered, De La Montage and Ave des Canadiens is a cross-corner, and not a T corner... And Ave des Canadiens is very large too...

What bugs me with this tower is its interface (or rather lack thereof) with de la montagne street. Instead of having a resto or a secondary entrance or something, we have a rather forgettable butt end of the podium.

Thanks for the updates, glad to see the digging progressing so fast.

I wonder what will go between the Rocabella and L'Avenue, would it be some sort of plaza? Or perhaps a building...

Most likely, an above ground parking lot.

Why is this still under "proposals"?

I believe there will be a grocery store in the podium, so likely this will be used as a delivery area.

You are right. It is obvious that this project is now a GO and is under construction. I have moved the thread under the right section.

I moved the thread back since someone pointed out that it hasn't actually started construction yet. They're still only excavating. The crane boom in the photo is from an adjacent project.

So, once they start pouring concrete, the thread can be moved again?

Yep. Or placing caissons. As soon as the structural construction begins for the foundation, then it will have officially started construction.
