The infrastructure and demolition plans were posted today to the city's website for the Block 71 Office Tower at 200 West 6th Street. A 9-story office building along with a plaza will be demolished to make way for this project.

ftp://ftp.ci.austin.tx.us/ATD_AULCC/...tion_PLANS.pdf

The site plan was also posted which shows the building elevations. It's 512 feet 10 inches to the top of the mechanical penthouse screen and will have 36 floors.

This will be Austin's 2nd tallest office building - just 3 feet shorter than the Frost Bank Tower. If it were complete today it would be Austin's 6th tallest building.

ftp://ftp.ci.austin.tx.us/ATD_AULCC/...0Blk_PLANS.pdf

We haven't seen any renderings yet for this one, but the elevations give some idea of how it'll appear.

I really do like that design. It's still pretty simple, but it's a unique twist on the rectangular box towers that are far too common. The two different colors (neither of which are stucco) are a nice touch. The glass appears to be a darker blue, but it might be dark enough to be different than the rest of downtown.

Looks like the one in Dallas... Fountain place is it?

Overall not a bad looking building here.... start date?

There are some similarities with Fountain Place but the Dallas building this looks more like is the one proposed in Victory:

Next summer. They have to demolish a 9-story office building first and an adjacent plaza.

Here's the site:

Doesn't look 513'. Maybe it's the illusion from the balconies.

This is kind of the exact reverse view from the photo I took on Sunday.

Can someone post a circa 2000 or so photo compared to today, preferably from a bunch of different angles, would be incredible to see the change. Hell, even since I was last there in 2014, the skyline has changed pretty dramatically.
