With all this infill going on in Midtown away from Peachtree Street, I'm beginning to think a previously-mentioned idea of making W Peachtree and Spring Streets two-way is not such a bad idea.

From what I remember hearing, it's not on the books to open Spring, W. Peachtree, or Piedmont (14th to 10th) into two way streets. I think they're all geared up to receive streetscape improvements including cycle tracks, however.

Suggestion

Suggestion for this thread -

Smart's list is very helpful, but most of these projects have their own thread. Maybe in the "more info" of each we can link to the current project thread on the Atlanta board?

I know it would be time consuming to implement (upfront) but I think it would be extremely useful and helpful for us casuals.

Good idea.
I've been pretty busy lately so the list probably needs a lot of updating.

New rendering for 764 Memorial. I believe it's listed as a 742 Memorial on here.

Meta: Does anybody remember how to resize pictures in an IMG tag? I thought there was a way but not seeing it.

If the image is hosted at Imgur you can add a lowercase letter l before the .filetype and it will show a normal sized picture. Not sure about resizing random images on the web. Usually there's certain logic you put in around the URL bracketed area. I haven't figured it out for this forum yet.

Hanover West Peachtree

Does anyone remember when Hanover West Peachtree broke ground? That has to be the slowest-moving commercial build of all time. I may snap one day soon when driving down Spring Street if they don't open those left lanes up soon. It is rivaling the proton center for failed street/sidewalk stewardship.

At least they opened up the lanes with barriers finally for pedestrian traffic. People crap on the timeline of this project, although I'd be willing to bet this winds up being one of the better quality pieces we wind up having from the cycle. Looks top notch.

It started in early 2015. I think it probably has at least another year to go. It looks like they might be considering opening it in phases, the west side is pretty far ahead of the east. To put it in perspective, Atlantic House started around the same time and opened last fall. Broadstone Juniper--which also had underground parking--started a few months after and opened a few months ago.

My favorite part about hanover w. peachtree is bringing interactive retail along this stretch of 10th street.
