Noticed that yesterday (Monday, May 7), Air Transat flew an A-330 (aircraft C-GTSO) from Montreal YUL to Rio de Janeiro - Galeao (GIG). Flight was TS41.

On April 23, I noticed that Air Transat flew an A-310 from YYZ to GIG which returned on the 24th to YUL flight TS42.

Any idea as to what these flights are? Are Transat testing new routes?

Hey everyone (anyone). I have a flight coming in from Winnipeg through Montreal and on to Orlando. I only have 1hr and 1 minute layover in Montreal. Given the government shutdown, will I have enough time to get through US Customs? Has there been a noticeable difference in wait times?

You should be fine but let's just hope your incoming flight is not delayed. Anyways if anything goes wrong you will be offered many alternatives. I woudn't worry...

I’m reposting this from the Canadian Aviation thread:

Hi everyone. The Time Air Society of Lethbridge are trying to save one of the F-28s at YXE that have been parked there for over 15 years.

They are about $3,250 shy of their goal, but only have until the end of January to succeed (otherwise it will join all the other YXE F-28s and head off to the scrapper). If you can donate even as little as $20, it would go a long way to preserving a piece of Canadian (and Dutch) aviation history.

Here’s the link to their GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/saving-cf...281000-sn11106

Even if you can’t afford to donate, spread the word.

Air Canada has upped their game with exclusive new in-flight features.

With the holiday season upon us, thousands will be travelling across the country to see their loved ones. And if you’re someone who tends to get super bored on flights, we’ve got good news.

Thanks to Air Canada, flying just got a whole lot better — especially for sports fans. The airline has recently launched Live TV on select domestic flights, which means passengers will no longer miss out on exciting live-action sports games while in the air.

With six live channels in both English and French, passengers will also be able to keep up-to-date with live national news onboard.

The Challenges of Connecting Montréal-Trudeau with the Réseau Express Métropolitain: An Overview

As progress continues on the Réseau Express Métropolitain, the Airport Branch of the REM faces significant delays that have led to its opening to be pushed back to 2027. Let’s explore some of the reasons causing the delays and where the branch will go.

The Airport Branch of the REM will branch off from the mainline at Bois-Franc and serve two brand-new stations: Marie-Curie and YUL-Aéroport-Montréal-Trudeau. Both stations will be underground along a 2.5km single bore tunnel that was completed in July 2022. Work will continue on the stations and guideway over the coming years, with testing to start in 2026 and for the segment to open in 2027.

After Paris, it's only natural that Montréal becomes the other hub for not just other Francophones, but for Maghrebi Arabs, Francophone Africans, Anglo & Franco Caribbeans, and Latin Americans from Venezuela, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Argentina.
