So this is something different. Anyone know what's going on with the depression?

Walked by there yesterday and there were concrete columns poking above the fence. Construction!

Well, we learned there's no basement in the Alamo thanks to Pee Wee Herman's great adventure, perhaps the Independent will have one.

The elevators have to go slightly underground to plane with the first floor.

Must be an older picture, not much progress since the June 24 pic. Either that or they are using the same three man crew who worked on the library.

This construction is confusing. What's with all the dirt on the ground floor?

SIAP on this one, didn't want to flip through 55 pages to check.

Saw this in Jersey, seems to be an inspiration for the Independent.

EDIT: The image doesn't seem to show for some reason. Anyone know what the issue is?

It does look like the Independent.

Note: You need to make sure you are using the image file with the extension - in this case ".jpg". You just used the link to the file at imgur.

Cool. Thanks!

Here's one in Moscow. A bit taller but similar. http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=24262

Ugh. I hate how much 360 will be hidden. I wish I could swap places with 360 and AMLI on 2nd.

That first picture seems real amateurish and jenky, isn't 5th & West completely out of place? But with density, there is unfortunately, cover up. I too would hate to see 360 disappear. To me, 360 was the beginning of a new era. We all watched it go up on the time lapse, and saw our first building with 40+ floors. It stood alone for years, soon it will be just another tree in the forest. Another face lost in the crowd. But imagine living there and losing your view. But the true horror of it all would be covering up one of the better night time lighting displays.

That would be an impressive engineering feat.

Kev, I think 5th and West is a bit pushed forward in that right? 360 SHOULD be more up front

Yes, it's a great front-and-center tower that should be seen. I agree.
