Mods could this thread be moved to the under construction section. The site is good to go and cranes are on the spot along with construction equipment.

Also, with regards to SLS Brickell, could that also be moved. The tower has been UC for a couple of months now. Construction being primarily on the sub-level/base

Thanks, mods.

^ chris08876 the Mods must be asleep here since both of us have been asking to have the following moved to the High rise Construction thread.

SLS Brickell has been Under Construction since January 2014.

Bond on Brickell is also Under Construction since April 2014.

I like the way it "peels back" at the top and also that Slinky thing at the base. Overall, more interesting than the original design.

We're watching, it's just that cranes are not typically official construction. We have traditionally not moved a thread to the construction section until the foundations are in place for the actual building. Digging a hole is hardly constructing a skyscraper.

Yes I agree. That is the proper name and height.

MIAMI | Panorama Tower | 822 FT| 80 FLOORS

For sake of accuracy, this should be moved regardless as to not clutter up the proposal section.

Miami is under going a huge skyscraper boom right now which is largely ignored on this forum hence why all of the previous members of this site have jumped ship and are now at SSC.
SLS Brickell has been under construction since January! It is now June of 2014! You have to wonder when SSP is no longer a "source' for skyscraper development if they can't keep up even in North America.
The photo updates hadn't indicated the towers started construction up until now. They were still doing site prep/excavation work. That isn't SSP's fault.

Now, though, with the photos that dave8721 and chris08876 have posted it appears they are now drilling and have the caissons onsite.

24-Hour Construction As Hollo Hits Accelerator At 82-Story Panorama Tower

Quote:
Tibor Hollo’s Florida East Coast Realty is rushing to get the 82-story Panorama Tower out of the ground and will accelerate the pace of construction.

Crews working on piling installation at the site will soon begin 24-hour shifts, an increase from the current 16-hour work day.

FECR is targeting a mid-2017 opening date.

^ I'm sure the residents of the neighboring condo towers aren't going to be too happy about 24 hour construction.

Funny you should mention that because I was reading an article about how not just in Miami, but along the coast, people are getting tired of the constant construction. Places like Miami Beach and Sunny Isles Beach especially. I hope this doesn't breed a more aggressive NIMBY's in those areas. Miami Beach is already filled with the aggressive ones, I just hope this doesn't affect future projects up and down the coast. Although they better brace, because a lot more construction is coming!

Although on a side note, I do worry about the vote on Skyrise. I hope the voters make the right choice.

Tibor Hollo Calls In 1000-Foot Cranes To Build Panorama Tower

Tibor Hollo is planning to bring in several big cranes to help build the 822-foot Panorama Tower, where construction is already underway.

Crews will be installing a crane at the site will rise to a height of 1,047 feet (or 1,052 above mean sea level). A second 1,016 foot crane will provide high mast illumination, while a third 385-foot crane will also be installed at the site.

Panorama will become the tallest residential building on the East Coast south of New York.

Another nearby tower, the 548-foot 1010 Brickell condo tower, will also begin construction soon. A temporary construction crane there will reach a maximum height of 628 feet.

Miami needs a signature, iconic tower. I can't think of any. They all look the same!

Every other major American city: NY, Chicago, LA, SF, Seattle, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, even Charlotte NC, all have at least one iconic skyscraper. Miami and Boston are the only two cities I can think of that have none at all. At 822 feet, this thing is boring!
