Coquitlam's Tallest Tower proposed warrants its own thread

Lots of great elevation/site plan in this document: http://www.coquitlam.ca/docs/default...3.pdf?sfvrsn=2

Thank you, but Jesus fucking Christ. I did a quick look through the document, was able to find nearly every stat except for one.... the fucking height!

All the floor space / area stats are there. Was able to find the ground elevation of the site. Was able to find everything but the mother fucking height. Maybe someone else can find it somewhere in there? Even found the podium height, but not the tower!

(The swearing is done for flavor, but seriously, what is it with the suburbs not releasing the height or at least profile drawings where we can at least determine the height from?)

Well the podium is 28 feet. I'll guess around 530 feet.

Yea, the elevation of the site is already 110m, so this tower could really top out around 270m. The highest point of Burnaby Mountain is about 330m.

Amazing... I still can't believe there's a chance something like this is going to be built in Coquitlam!

Coquitlam is building nice towers. I love the design of most of their towers in their city centre and this would have fit perfectly there too. I love how they have so far avoided the spandrel madness going on everywhere else. Although, the smaller tower next this and visible in the rendering is currently going up and a spandrel mess. I hope they don't mess this landmark building which will indeed be very visible.

I only wonder how come they didn't go for 50 floors, to make a nice round number.

They have been heavily advertising the development at various Skytrain stations and in the local newspaper so I'd assume that it has been approved.

I wonder how long till Burquitlam Plaza goes bye bye. Exciting changes in my neighbourhood.

Judging by the renders this has got to be around 150-160 meters. Maybe even 170m.

Apparently anything below floor 12 is already sold or on hold for developers F&F so starting prices will be a lot higher than their pricing list released
