Lot of site work done this summer. Some excitement seeing a crane in DTO, no matter how small!

Also that parking lot on the right edge of the photo is going to get a ~20 story tower. HDR is moving their HQ there. This area of DT will change dramatically.

Brad Williams got some great shots of Omaha from the air recently. This one shows that the foundation work has begun here.

The block of surface parking in this picture between the current construction and the green space (Holland Center) is going to be the location of HDR's new headquarters.

^^^ Not bad.... But I was expecting something in the 25 story range.... it's better than an empty parking lot though!

The back side of the HDR building will be a seven story parking garage with ground level retail. The design isn't horrible but we were all hoping for something taller and more dramatic from a major architectural firm. Another giant parking garage sucks but the ground level retail facing the Capitol Street development makes it more tolerable.

First image facing east overlooking the river. The grading on the Iowa side is set to get townhomes, apartments, 2 office buildings and 2 10 story condos.

Looking west to the rest of DT.

This looks like a great infill project, nice boost to grow the city out and seems like a great location central to the stadiums, canal and downtown. Good for Omaha.
