As everyone knows we have seen countless images of Angels Flight but here's one we haven't seen.
This original slide captures a beautiful blue Thunderbird passing in front of Royal Liquors. (a vegetarian cafeteria was in this spot back in the 1920s)
Seller's description:
...."Original Slide 1960's Los Angeles Railway / Thunderbird Car / Policmen"

I thought this was the entire slide until I clicked on the ad.
Here's the complete slide.

If you look closely, there are clues that the slide was taken during Christmas time. (a decorated red pole on left. . .a wreath in the liquor store window)
One thing that caught my attention was the sign to the right of the stoplight.
The top sign says No Unnecessary Noise. Why would this sign be necessary at this particular spot?
The other sign is even more intriguing.
This is the best enlargement I could muster.

I believe it says something about EXPLOSIVES!
