That was just an idea though not a concrete rendering.
Weatherguru said he saw the renderings of the 23-story office tower. That renovation plan your referring to wasn't around 20-stories tall. I guess he saw the proposed GreenStreet Hotel a few pages back and thought it was the new building for the Macy's site?

Everyone meet West Houston Master-Plan at Memorial Park. Renderings just released a couple of hours ago. By the way this was designed for Hine's.

Quote:
Integrating the man-made with the natural. It’s a challenge to link the two in a way this is not disruptive to existing space and allows for growth and development. The goal should always be to design a natural extension of the environment, developing in a natural way that truly fits with the city and its surroundings.

The plan was prepared for Hines Development to provide a vision for a 14-acre site in West Houston. The site has a natural beauty, being part of the edge of Houston’s signature open space, Memorial Park. Developing links with the park is a centerpiece of the design concept, which encompasses approximately 1.8 million square feet of mixed-use development.

Houston is blowing up but can't help but to think how pedestrian unfriendly all these New developments are.

That's strange because I don't see that at all.

I dunno, I think a few others here would have saw them already if they were posted on HAIF!

Bethel Church Park in Midtown nearly complete. The church was severely damaged back in 2005, the walls were saved and used as part of the park.

The complex is huge! no wonder they went outside the city, I can't think of a good place within city limits to built such a massive project.

Would have been perfect in any desolate area in the eastern half of the Inner Loop. Just imagine, a quarter of Houston's inner loop would look and give off a Washington DC staggering mid-rise density appeal.

You know, there's always the option of going downtown and building up.

I'm actually really sad about the Exxon/Mobile campus but everything else going on in Houston is so big and good that it makes it better.
