The whole room ain’t much better!
I've stayed at that one! I was about 7 or 8 years ago. The reason I was there was because it was the only hotel within walking distance to the Sunnyside Pavilion. A family member of mine had his wedding there.

The bunch of us staying there weren't impressed but we drank so much that we didn't care.

I find that some of the Wyndham group hotel chains really don't seem to have enforced standards. Those chains include Howard Johnson, Days Inn and Travelodge. Super 8 and Ramada are actually somewhat better overall from my experiences. I tend to prefer Microtel as most of the hotels are newer, more up to date and efficient designs and have better amenities (pool, etc).

Leave it to Edmonton to hybridize two opposite ugly styles into one monstrous combination (mansard roof with blue spandrel glass).

Vaughan tends to have the sane problem.

Looks like a suburban office park building mated with a shitty suburban condo. How can the architects for these buildings look themselves in the mirror?

The architects that create those don't look at them as "the edifice as work of art", they look at them as "maximizing floor space to increase profit margins".

That Four Points is the most impressive thing I've seen in this thread in a while. The Vaughn example is ugly, but the Four Points is pretty much owning the last twenty pages.

Ya who ever thought that that shade of blue fits in anywhere near that shade of brown?

Weston Toronto might be the most ugly rundown and out of place area in Toronto. It's like it's trapped in the 70's and has been neglected since the 70's.

Take a look for yourself, it's depressing. https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.69933...7i13312!8i6656

Thank gods this is down in the south in an already-hideous area. We're also hoping this isn't the final design, fingers crossed.
