Gas is 7 cents cheaper in the small community of Lanark, Ontario than it is in Kingston. I just saw 94 cents/L while I was in Lanark today, and in Kingston it is $1.01. London was down to 91 cents yesterday.

Kingston, for some reason, has gotten a raw deal in the past couple weeks while other cities and much smaller, remote communities are enjoying prices below $1. Oh well, I filled up my 1/2 full tank up north instead of later in Kingston, so the Kingston gas stations lost a sale.

Lowest I've seen in K-W so far is 96.9. The price seemed to hold at around $1 a bit longer than it should have but the trend is downward over the next week.

Question: I don't pay (directly) to heat my condo so I'm wondering - has the price of natural gas and heating oil been falling as well?

Yeah, even more than gasoline here at least.

This was the most recent update (it happens once weekly I think; and the news usually slips out a little while before the prices change so that you can decide to rush to fill up or hold off if there's a big swing in price). These are the maximum prices vendors in each region of the province can sell gasoline, heating fuel, etc. for. Typically, most businesses sell for less than this, especially in areas with competition. Just a little sample of the endlessly-long list of regions, :

95.0 to 98.8 on the reserve, 109.9 to 121.9 in the city and region. Most stations are at or around 112.7 to 112.9.

Gas is down to 73 cents per litre just across the border.

Kingston almost always has higher gas prices. No idea why, but gas is always more expensive in the Limestone City than it is any of the surrounding towns, in Ottawa, or in Toronto.
