We're supposed to see the pattern effect at night also. Time will tell.

This tower at night is going to be a real jewel to the skyline! It'll have a presence that'll be admired for decades to come once it's lit up at night! If the renders are any indication, CPT and 111W57 will be my fav towers once completed!

This seems like a really unique detail. Are there any existing structures that come to mind that have this same effect?

This tower is like something out of a dream. It's 1,428 feet tall, and the base would fit on my front lawn.

The terracotta and bronze is astounding, and the 175-foot ornamental crown will become iconic once lit.

I didn't realize until just now that the size and relation of the setbacks on the south side continue the "wave" of the pattern on the terracotta facade panels when viewed from the side, especially at an angle from 57th Street, which is how most people will see this. It's subtle, but it's there. Absolute genius.
