Very nice consistency as always. What a lovely, carefully planned city...
Strangely, I guess that silly cross stuck upon their hill might help somehow, though I'll admit I hate this stupid French-speaking NIMBYism anyway.
Sick of it, too impatient as I am. It only spares us from disastrous declines. Prevents us from sudden booms too.

Montreal doesn't really need buildings taller than it has though, I have to say. Demand was low for a long time and now that things are getting built, I'm glad that it's spread out amongst a number of smaller buildings instead of a couple supertall towers. Montreal isn't Paris - until the recent boom, downtown was littered with vacant lots and urban blight. Projects like this are filling in gaps in the urban fabric and are healing the wounds of downtown's landscape.

I agree. I'm also glad to see those gaps getting filled, it makes the city much more interesting (contrasting heights, styles etc) and walkable

Speaking of gaps...does anyone know if there are plans for that vacant lot (Jean D'Estrées, St Jacques and Peel) across from the old planetarium?

My pics from past Wednesday. The quality of the glass is top notch, much nicer than high-end luxury buildings that I see in other cities.

Beautiful shots! What a transformation of the Montreal skyline!

I like tall buildings but I don't think the design of these is suitable for a skyscraper. These designs would be good for a building of 15-20 stories max. I think I'd really like those buildings.
