- Does anyone else think of the movie 'Idiocracy' where they tied two buildings together? I personally cannot think of anything else when I see this. I find it absolutely foolish that this was approved.

Yeah, it should be disapproved just because it reminded you of some obscure, fictional movie.

Right. They should have built a box instead. The city doesn't have enough of them...

Haha. That movie still is spot on BrandedCow. The shape is exactly the same. We certainly are living in "Idiocracy" when buildings like these are lionized.

Um, no...Agree with colemonkee. The ONLY thing preventing these buildings from being flawless is that the facade does not extend to mask the mechanical penthouses. They are still pretty amazing buildings, nonetheless.

American Copper, up and close. This is better than a penny, because there's more copper, not that Zinc bs. Copper > Zinc. Both crucial btw in RNA and Vitamin A synthesis!

Sorry, I have to call out your false dichotomy. Just because someone is critical of this development doesn't mean they're advocating banality. I happen to agree with the original poster, these buildings are just too awkwardly proportioned and imbalanced for my taste, but let's try to avoid logical fallacies and marginalizing the opinions of others. We're all skyscraper fans here.

Really unpleasant and oppressive looking slabs from that exposure. Hopefully it'll look better with verdigris.

Patriot Copper Buildings can be seen by the East River. Also note Greenpoint's new tallest across the river.

More American Patriot Towers. The Freedom is too much, that the copper is pulsating. Yearning to be more than copper, but green gold!

The force of American freedom causes one tower to bend, due to one tower having more if it. American gravity.
