Called to confirm, and was told by the girl on the phone that it's 31 floors "according to the paper, which is old, and the design is not yet finalized." My source that said 28 floors supposedly spoke to someone higher up, or at least with more current info.

Wow this project keeps getting worst and worst every time, doesn't it?

I read in la presse this morning that 44% of the condos u/c and proposed in downtown and griffintown are yet unsold, and that the market is quite possibly saturated. Which might explain Le peterson's downfall.

Quite honestly, I don't think this one will ever get off the ground, and i wouldnt be too sad if that was the case.

Would Oscar approve? Better than a garbage can.

Marois's tickletrunk

Would look much better if 8+ storeys higher. Add my voice to others protesting the stumpiness of the tower.

Oscar was my favorite, and I never even watched the show!

I actually don't like the Peterson. Cheap, pretentious. But at least it'll be hidden away on some obscure "street" out of sight from pretty much most angles....except the one that counts: Place des festivals, but what can we do?

The 113m originally listed in the city's document was for a 34 storey building.

The project is now 31 floors and 105 metres.

Not too impressed with that figure.

At this rate, the neighbour C-lofts will top out before this one even gets out of the ground.

Good news. I know it will be cheap looking, but I'm curious to see how it turns out.
(I'm kind of relieved that this experiment is taking place on a secondary street and won't be too visible from most angles)

Here is a new render for the two-faced monstrosity, Le Peterson.

Here's the side (from the north) the salespeople didn't want you to see! At least it will be mostly hidden by the high-rises on that part of Sherbrooke.

Here's the previously known view from the south-east for comparison.

So I unexpectedly found myself on the 17th floor/east side of the Holiday Inn Midtown today, and it seems that Le Peterson is now u/c. The lot is smaller than I expected. Also, from the ground level, it's going to look pretty shitty tucked in behind that dumpy looking row house on de bleury from both the front and back :/. This has turned out to be such a disappointment....

That hole is for another project. Le Petersen will replace the blue building at the bottom of the picture. Demolition is suppose to start anyday.

Also, doesn't look as if demolition on the 6 storey office building has started... Their air exchange fans are running today....
