Has anyone been to trivia in this city?

I've been to a few, but still looking for a winner.

Just the Buzztime, machine based, ones at the Hose and Hound and a couple other places. The Unicorn used to have a good one. I'd loved to find one as well... it's one of my favourite pastimes....

Zyn is moving their retail store over to this new Strategic/Torode building on 9th Ave. The brewery location (which I believe used to be the aquarium) will remain their wholesale warehouse.

^I like the scale of this building. Like to see hundreds more of these along our main streets.

Agreed, i like this scale for Inglewood's main strip. I thought the block towards spiller rd (forget the name) was a little bit too tall/massive, although if the top floor or two was stepped back 6 stories might be decent.

I would have to agree with you. Height seems to be the only issue the locals have and I don't blame them. I would be pissed at the prospect of having that behind me blocking all the sunlight. In this case, I think the developers should be building within the confines of the bylaws.

It's a challenge though - how do we balance the needs/desires of the surrounding community, with the density needed to make a project economically feasible?

Redeveloping our nodes (malls, LRT locations, and the like) and our corridors (main streets) are low hanging fruit when it comes to intensifying the city. If we struggle to do it here, where else can we direct this type of growth?

Anyone know what's going in the closed down Sony Store on 4th street? I would love love love it if they expanded Amaranth into that space as well.

Lindt expanded to the entire Sony area as well? That doesn't seem right.

Lindt took the middle part of the building now as well? I haven't been over there in a bit I guess.

I was referring to the centre portion. I was hoping that amaranth would expand so it can be 2/3 of that little strip mall. Since whole foods isn't opening downtown anymore, this is my only chance of having an organic grocery store in Vic Park.

Please delete or at least edit this misinformation. Now the parrots on here will start discussing it as if this is true. It's completely false.

American Apparel on 17th is no more. "Moved to Chinook Centre!" say the signs in the window as if we should all be thrilled about that. I dream of a little hotel there... they got rezoning to facilitate opening a restaurant in that space but it's so huge for a resto. A little inn would seem a possibility but what do I know. They were sometimes terrible neighbours (I live a block away) as they never until this past winter shoveled their snow, but it was a nice landmark and I'll miss it.

I'm actually glad to hear that they've moved, not that I'm a regular customer but it seemed like an odd choice on 17th anyways

Huh? 17th was precisely where they belonged.
