Usually wouldn't post this but, I heard a while ago that this one has been shelved.

Too bad. I liked this one and was looking forward to seeing it built.

Any more news on this one? It's been very quiet for over a year now. Has it been scrapped for sure, or something else possibly in its place?

Like I said a year ago, that really is too bad. I did like the look of this one and had hopes for seeing it built.

The podium wouldnt have enhanced Bloor Street one bit. It was just a boring sheet of glass. No sign of a mixed use atrium or retail arcade.

I'd rather have a well designed "box' than this proposal. No big loss.

Rumours have it this is no longer a stale proposal and could be going ahead again. Will wait and see what actually happens.

Here ya go...found this today, dated the 26th of June.

https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/...ile-117711.pdf

This is the most key portion of the document....
The City Planning Division recommends that:
1. City Council direct the City Solicitor, together with City Planning staff and other City staff, to attend the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal hearing to oppose the Zoning Bylaw amendment (File No. 13 248425 STE 27 OZ) application as proposed

Personally, I'd be glad to see this proposal die off.

I prefer the current 15 story office building. Much better than single story retail (probably with exposed insulation, concrete, and ductwork on the ceilings) and condos. It would be a net loss for Bloor Street if it was approved as is.

^Thanks for the info, GeneralLee. This one has been on and off for years now. Let's get a final decision one way or another!

Another re-design, no renders yet, but I can give a peek as to the height and building envelope:

This is now 259.6 metres tall and has 78 floors.
