Beautiful collection. Very positive, especially the capturing of the autumn colors. One negative comment and not your problem - the intrusion of overhead wires - I realize they are there and your photos make a great case for burying them!

Would love to see more, including shots from the so-called golden triangle and the perimeter area. It is really incredible to see the overall development of the high rise throughout the metro area.

Also, I think the b/w photos really stand out.

Superb thread!
I've paged through three times and have enjoyed the unique angles and framing. There were several shots where it took a while to figure out the location.
Tuckerman, I couldn't agree more about the power lines...they are the photographer's scourge (unless you like that sort of thing).

Excellent pictures! I was in Atlanta 2 years ago and you did a great job showing off the skyline and the surprising level of density downtown!

I spent 3 weeks not shooting at all, reading photography books, watching 2 hour youtube videos, and learning more about light, composition, and angle. I've grown more as a photographer in the last four weeks than I did in the last six months and now I want you guys to also experience my growth since I began.
First off, great gallery. Love that you captured so many sides of ATL. I'm new and bright eyed to the world of photography; I'd love to hear which resources were most helpful to you that lead to such significant growth of skill in such a short period.

The top resources/tips that helped me were:

-This video:Better Photographic Composition - Beyond the Rule of Thirds

-Various videos on exposure: How ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speeds relate to one another.

-Stopping your lens down 2-3 F-stops to get the highest quality image and sharpness in most or all of your frame.

-Other small tips include making sure you're completely stopped before framing your shot and taking the photo, holding your breathe as you hold and press the shutter button to minimize camera shake(handheld), and the Sunny 16 rule.

-Shooting in RAW and post-processing in Lightroom to get the most out of my photos.

Love the thread, lots of great infill. Funny how the Equitable buildings in both LA and Atlanta are ugly beasts. Speaking of beasts is that a Georgia Southern building white with small windows maybe 15 floors that is bulky as f**k? In that one shot you show off the bulky 70's wide ass towers lol. It's funny I'm a white guy who likes to date black/latina girls and I've had a few black girls say I would love Atlanta. Is it easy for white dudes to get bangin black women there?

Holy hell. Outstanding. I just ordered my first Nikon camera and lens yesterday. With a little luck (lots of luck), I'll be able to produce something close to this caliber of work. Bravo.
