besides... this is the Jardins area... if I am not mistaken, Jardins Paulista is the neighborhood with the houses... the Jardins with highrises is another neighborhood

Wrong, the neighborhood with the houses is called 'Jardim Europa' (Europa Garden) none highrise can be build there fortunatly.
The part with the highrises are 2: Jardim Paulista (Sao Paulo Garden) at rear and here in front Cerqueira Cesar. The road dividing both is called 'Estados Unidos', in the sense conotation how north-american can still divide the relations between Europeans and Brazilians... of course this is not the reason. Jardim Europa is built from the England company called City, developing it back 50 years, most expensives houses today in city. In reality people confund a lot all those neighborhoods. On the left of Photo is 'Jardim America'. Almost All roads are named according to the regions, while the roads near of 'Estados Unidos' have South-American countries names, strangely. Near the green part of 'Ibirapuera Park' it is called 'Jardim Paulistano'. So the club there (Seeing in the top S of pic) is also called so. There is no official name 'Jardins', this is only what people is used to call for the better area to live in the city.

I know many people that say that.
São Paulo is not an obvious city. Not your usual "love at first sight" kind of place. But it is a fantastic, complex city that becomes better and better as you get to know it more.
I can be a witness. I am a "convert" to the São Paulo admirers club !

What you see in this pic is only the north part, maybe 1/3 what really is. Yes, it is a country-city, who lived there, lives everywhere with no problem, but can be bored sometimes in calm places. I just do not post pictures of the houses in Jardim Europa to not put people here really down...

One can be taken by bored if one seeks out the other in a city country. The city is houses in a uniform of the country for the peoples and the peoples never find the city in the country of the peoples where they look.
