OK, water under the bridge and me venting again ... but man do I miss those extra feet on the top of this tower. It is turning out every bit as awesome as the renders. This one does not need to be lost in the sea of coming towers, it deserves a showcase. With the location and angles, it will stand out in a lot of views, however from Jersey I think it will eventually be lost. I can think of when I was a kid and the Chrysler was a clear, awesome point in the skyline with the windows lit and now it does not stand out the way it used to. Part of that is the new dominance of the HY area on the skyline from the other side of the Hudson.

I am 100% in for all the progress and want the skyline to keep building and expanding. However, some of these amazing designs need to be highlighted better. This one with the extra 200 ft or so would have been amazing. It is still beautiful, but one I'll probably have to come into the city or view from other angle to enjoy.

End rant, signed spoiled Jersey resident who loves the views.

The good thing about this one is that there are many places around the tower where you can just sit and enjoy the view.

I don't know if anyone here still plays Sim City 4, but someone uploaded a fantastic version of this building to Simtropolis to be downloaded and used in the game.

now that we all have almost finished constructing this amazing tower Verre . .
it's time for us to use our crazy powers of imaginative positivity . .
to conjure up Zaha Hadid's 666 5th Ave tower of design excellence . .
to loom 1400 ft of badass curvy above Gotham . . with, or without Jared Kushner . .
Have at it, boys and girls ! . . (I just watched PBS documentary on
building Hadid's awesome Scorpion Tower in Miami) . .
worth seeing.

The angle is outstanding.

It looks like a River shot.

What if 9 West were originally in the UN Scretariat tower's spot?

All dreaming aside, I think in maybe a month we'll see this gem's gold/silver-tinted apex façade being installed.

I get the feeling you'll be changing it again once that crane comes down.
