How about a vast expanse of mid-rise (5-10 storeys) affordable housing geared toward the penurious? Do they not deserve to live somewhere where they are not surrounded by unutterable filth and disease,
especially at a time when others in the city are erecting glitzy behemoths for the nouveau riche?
Skyscrapers are not conducive to affordability; surely you're not naive enough to think that all these "fabulous" Mumbai supertalls, all of which, I notice, are residential, are being built with these slum-dwellers in mind.
