A bit more coverage, especially around the Viger Street side of the building, as of last Thursday or Friday. This side looks like it will have some grey cladding, in addition to the black:

The bigger this thing gets, the more I like it. And as previously mentioned, this is only the first phase!

I think it's going to be pretty spectacular looking once complete. I'm just a bit worried that it will be so massive it will create a virtual wall sectioning off the east end of downtown from the CBD, and that it might block out some pretty sweet skyline views from points east of St-Denis Street...

It's great to see nicer cladding for a change.

Oh mon dieu! Que vois-je? Une passerelle au dessus de Sanguinet??

Do they have plan to expand, that ghost building on Sanguinet/Viger??

Nice renderings! Still can't wrap my head around how big this thing is.

Is the 10 storey-ish building on Sanguinet part of the existing project or is it a future phase I wonder.

It's in the plans . The building is already demolished.

As seen from Parc jean-Drapeau, I clearly saw how big of an impact the CHUM complex will have when it's fully built. Along with the Solano project (2 more 20-ish floor towers to go up) and the Viger station re-dev (about 20 floors), and the Radio-Can re-dev, and who knows maybe an eventual Heritage du Vieux Port phase II, the downtown east-side will truly extend the skyline almost to the bridge.

En passant, speaking of Le Solano, here are some images courtesy of urbmtl posted on mtlurb
