The D tower is actually over 900ft tall!

From CTBUH:

We shall see. And about the likelihood of all those 400m+ towers actually being built, see my reply post #419.

Great rendering by Rey73 on SSC:

From left to right: 432 PA, WTC complex, Tower Verre, Shvo Tower, 111West57th, Manhattan West, One57, Hudson Yards, 217W57th, 220 CPS.
Note: some supertalls (Girasole, 1Vanderbilt etc.) and plenty of skyscrapers are missing.

Dang, the pic isn't showing up for me
EDIT: I went straight to the source and loved the rendering. If only we had it now!

I do hope that this gets built. It will fit with the other 1400+ towers.

First 30 seconds I was numb. That was a good way to start the day.
Good stock footage as well.

Those are some quality views there and to think, our already mega gorgeous skyline will kick it up 10 notches by 2020 not to mention 2015.

Quick Q: Why is there no supertalls being finished within a year's time recently? Like with the ESB? Is it because of differences in the amount of cheap man power and safety regulations?
(Not to sound ungrateful, just wondering)

Yep, you pretty much answered your question. Add prestige, racing for the WTB and less technical stuff and you'll get your 1-year supertall.

Possible new height figures for the Hudson Yards development:

30 Hudson Yards (North Tower): 1,255ft (383m) (old: 1,337ft (408m))
35 Hudson Yards (Equinox / E Tower): 1,000ft (305m) (old: 950ft (290m))
15 Hudson Yards (Culture / D Tower): 914ft (279m)
10 Hudson Yards (Coach / South Tower): 895ft (273m)
50 Hudson Yards (McD site / 2 Hudson Blvd): ~1150ft (350m)
55 Hudson Yards (1 Hudson Blvd / former WPC site): ~850ft (259m)

The site really needs a signature tower, about 1,500 - 1,700ft.

Note: at this moment nothing's confirmed yet.

Hopefully the western half of Hudson Yards produces a signature tower.

Remember the western railyards are to be mostly residential, and skinny residential spires are generally a better better bet for signature supertalls.
