A Very "Boris" Vacation (2007) - Ottawa-Gatineau Part II

EDIT: All file errors fixed!

I'm editing my last set of Ottawa photos, should have it up either later tonight or tomorrow morning, for sure. Special side trip of Kingston photos by the end of the week at the latest (but it's the start of the semester so I have plenty of time to devote to foto editing)

During this series, I explore the cities of Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa/Gatineau *and Kingston*

Index:

Calgary to Victoria
Victoria Part I
Victoria Part II
Victoria Part III
Vancouver Part I
Vancouver Part II
Toronto Part I
Toronto Part II
Toronto Part III
Ottawa-Gatineau Part I

Kingston

Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for their patience while I slowly have gotten this series of photos out. Especially to Niwell, to whom I promised to get these photos out to for a long time. To those viewing my photos for the next time, please check out the others through the index I put at the top of each thread in the series. That is, if the links still work. I can't guarantee that.

Gah, Imageshack's Multiuploader was acting up a bit, so it took much longer to upload than I thought it would.

Where was this picture taken. Is it Eagleson/417 but it looks more open/lush/free of buildings than I imagine.

Yeah it is Eagleson considering that they are doing some of the widening in the Kanata portion of the 417 and also the park and ride on the top corner. The buildings are more closer to the Terry Fox and Castlefrank area near the Centrum and there is nothing really close to that interchange except the park and ride and I think some stores which included Costco before it was moved closer to the Centrum and the Bank.

I like the shot of the parliament buildings poking up over an empty field.

That is actually the green roof on top of the War Museum.

Thanks for the comments so far. Okay, I lied a bit about getting the pics up in the morning. I actually stayed up really late and ended up sleeping right up to the start of my first lecture of the semester, which I am about to miss. So I slept in. But it is the first class of the semester so I don't care too much. Oh well, might as well finish up that picture editing.

Ottawa is bustling.

This bridge is not coming down anytime soon! What is the name of it?

BTW, i gave up on Imageshack. Not only had problems uploading, but then their servers always seem to have problems and there were always photos that would not come up because of it.

The Royal Alexandra Bridge, IIRC...

In fact, Wiki has an article with a pic taken from the exact same angle...
