Adamson and Associates rendering

JUMP new rendering of party area on top of above ground parking garage. They used creative license by not showing 5 story auditorium of Simplot building at bottom of rendering.

Simplot HQ

Talked with a Layton Construction project manager, and the headquarters building is all concrete (no steel going up). A lot of concrete will start to be poured in the next few weeks.

Interesting, I wasn't aware that Simplot planned to lease a couple parts of the building to Tenants. Does anyone know if that would be a long term type of thing or, for events?

Simplot HQ tenants

When I took the JUMP tour there was talk the restaurant space on the ground floor of the annex building (green house on top) had interest.
Both spaces showing in the site plan have patios facing inward toward the landscape area. The one on 11th would be great as it is near amphitheater, and could be busy if hotels or office towers are built across 11th.

JUMP Crane Christmas Trees

Meant to post this a few days ago when I first noticed them. We now have all 3 cranes on the jump site lit up with Christmas trees!

This is a new pdf at the JUMP website, although it doesn't contain anything we already don't know about this project.

http://www.jacksurbanmeetingplace.or...%20In_blue.pdf

I noticed the other day that a traffic lane on 9th and a lane on Front has been taken away and fenced off for what is most likely preparing for construction of the new Headquarters building. This new Corporate Headquarters tower is going to be interesting to watch being built. Per a KTVB story earlier this year this new HQ will house 900 employees, which is an increase of nearly 500 employees in addition to what Simplot currently has downtown.

I know of a few other cities that would love to have an international corporate headquarters such as this.

pouring this underground garage is the slowest paced, most excruciating thing to watch. It tortured me before JUMP was being built, same for the Simplot HQ. I can't wait till they are finished with this stage and actual, for reals, construction on the building begins.
In the meantime, at least we are slowly getting close to a finished "outwardly" JUMP. though it seems to take for ever for them to assemble those staircases which appears to be the biggest project left. Any big "to do's" that I am missing?

looks like there will be two elevator cores... one along 11th and the other on front.

will be fun to see them rise above street level this spring and summer, but even more fun when the garage is done and we start seeing steel shaping the structure.
