It looks like the windows were always meant to fill up those big squares... I don't get why they originally put in those little slivers of glass instead. Cost savings measure? To provide more flexibility for clinic layouts? Or some other reason altogether?

Almost every clinic I've been in has tall skinny windows, and in the space where more window would be, they've got all the tongue depressor sticks and blood pressure equipment and stuff. Instead of putting the desk in front of the window and that stuff on a side wall, they put that where a window would be and put the desk on a side wall.

In the case of the clinic I go to this is all street level so it's also a privacy thing but that's a highrise.

The Mackimmie tower reclad at UCalgary is an absolute home run IMHO. Compared to what it previously looked like.

I see this piece of shit building Everyday from my office window and I`m sick of it. I hate it, so this is good news.

However, I was really hoping its owners would see the light and decide to build a brand new tower. Something mixed-use, between 150-170m, as to not steal PVM`s thunder.

Wow that's a great reclad for the Rogers building. Keeps the original design intent but vastly improves on the execution.

They could paint the vertical concrete as red, yellow and blue. Or red, white and blue like, or just white and blue.

None of what I am suggesting is a good idea.
