Montreal is such a lovely city. It really has every element that comprises a great city.

Great shots! This really does justice to the city's reputation as a great trove of residential architecture of the Victorian and Edwardian age. I bought an old Victorian circa 1875 in January and am restoring the facade as best I can. I love Montreal's finesse reflected in its architecture, and of course, beautiful women...

Every time I view a Montreal thread it reminds me of a Phoenix poster who, a few years ago, swore that Montreal was merely an ugly, old city with few redeeming qualities > More evidence to the contrary.

Enjoyed this very nice tour too. Thanks for sharing, Martin Mtl!

All those stone houses in those quiet streets are beautiful. I´ve liked all the stone facades and the university atmosphere around that area.

I see last friday you enjoyed a very pleasant weather in Montreal. Was it probably the Indian Summer? We even can see people lying down in the green meadows.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

Terrific pics. I love this neighbourhood.

Montreal does curb-separated bike lanes so well. The bollard-separated bike lanes without curbs are also fantastic. As if there weren't reason enough to visit the city, I'd highly encourage anyone who likes cycling to bring a bike or rent a Bixi so that you can ride on them.

There is nothing so wonderful as a leisurely bike ride around Montreal on a languid summer afternoon/evening.
