By Odin's balls I wish I had endless money too!

( but sadly I do not - just a middle class Dane here )

Edit: since finances have come on multiple times in my travel threads I might as well share my way of going about it..

I have created a seperat account that I deposit money into each month ( typically 2-3000 DKK ) and that works as a buffer so that when I book a trip it doesn't affect my finances.

This way small monthly deposits turns into a substancial amount over time that allows for expensive trips without affecting one's economy..

At the current "travel pattern" we travel abroad 3 times a year ( not counting short trips to neighbouring countries ) twice in the summer half and once in winter - and we book about 6 months in advance - this typically works out so that the cost of the trip ( taken from the "buffer acount ) is covered by the time it's time to go, thus leaving you with money ready for booking the next trip and so on..

Thanks so much for sharing!

Love that saw sculpture, with the red handle, in Tokyo!

I know very well that Rome must have a modern section, like Paris, I keep hoping someone will show a more modern area of Rome with some modern buildings!

Since you've been everywhere, what's your favorite place in the world?

Rome might have such an area, but I didn't notice it when there - not even from high locations with great views..

So I doubt it has a Paris style business district - what modern office parks there are are likely located out in the suburbs and kepts pretty low to not stick out..

Not sure I have a favorite place as such..

One thing that I have learned is that I don't think I'd ever want to live and work outside Denmark, or former parts of of it such as Norway or Iceland.. at least not permanently..

That said I do enjoy the vibe and moods of other places, especially the more exotic ones, and when it comes to that I really like Hong Kong and Japan.. and New York City for that matter ( going there again soon )

I don't know.. everywhere have it's own charm and feeling and I tend to like it in it's own way.. what I don't like are areas with inequality, crime, poverty and such, that pisses me off ( why my feelings about the US is rather mixed )

What is important to me is that one can trust both the local government as well as the people - why I tend to stick to developed nations - as long as that is covered and the place isn't filthy or polluted I think all places have their own charm and is likable in their own way..

Hope it answers the question - it's actually a tough question as it's like food one day you are in the mood for Sushi and the other day Pizza

Yeah, I totally get it. But of course you must think some cities are far more beautiful than others? no?

I take it you're not a fan of capitalism, being from the worlds most socialist country, haha.

Sure, but when style differs as much as they do it's hard - let's just say that Paris cakes the cake when it comes to classic beauty

There's is no conflict between capitalism and socialism.. Socialism's conflict is with political choices such as deliberate inequality or crime.
I personally have beef when people don't have to suffer but are made to anyways - I think that is extremely unfair and a major waste of money!
