The Festival Wing consists of the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Hayward Gallery.

The other main building is the Royal Festival Hall, while also nearby are the BFI Southbank and National Theatre.

Work is due to start on the Festival Wing in 2014.

The Royal Festival Hall which is part of the Southbank Centre, and which is home to the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestras.

The Royal Festival Hall itself was also totally refurbished between 2004 and 2007, with world renowned American Acoustics experts Larry kirkegaard,
who is believed to be the one of the best in his field of expertise, totally redesigning, reshaping and redeveloping the Halls acoustic to critical acclaim.

Multi-Tower Southbank Place Adds Density Around Shell Tower

In the shadow of the London Eye, a vibrant mixed-use quarter is emerging, bringing together an assemblage of architects under the masterplanned vision of Squire and Partners. Developed by Canary Wharf Group and the Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, the under-construction project will inject multiple buildings into the precinct immediately around the Shell Tower, a historic anchor that will be spruced up with ground-level landscaping and open spaces.
