So I thought I would start a fun little thread on our favorite buildings in Salt Lake City. I'm interested in hearing what buildings you guys like in the city.
My personal favorite is the Wells Fargo Center. I love it for it's interesting use of granite and glass, non-boxy design, night lighting, and shear size. It is the tower that comes to mind when I think of downtown SLC.
I've never liked the Wells Fargo Building. I dislike the flattened triangle layout and that it looks like a huge flat-screen TV. It's unattractive to me.
My favorite is probably Walker Center. Of the newer buildings (1990-) I like 222.
Not a favorite, but I really like Gateway tower west. Kinda similar to Wells Fargo now that I think about it, but it's still in its own style. Very nice building in the city.... although I never pay much attention to it.
I think the Salt Lake Temple has to be the best building in your city (or pick another building down there). Not sure why you all don't mention it more often. Every city has a dozen buildings better than your Wells Fargo Center. But nobody else has a temple building quite like that.
