the black and white and the high iso really came out well, especially with Sufjan Stevens in the backround. I give you a A+

Nice nice nice. Tilt the camera a bit higher up and you'd see me up there on one of the ledges. It was crazy cold out. I like these all b&w

They serve pretty much in pounds of food

Properly urban - those balloons in the Walgreens are especially atmospheric.

Oh wow, it got crowded over there on Oak. When I left just an hour before, there was hardly anyone there. I had to fight my way through people when I got around the Northbridge area. I had a lady scream at me, when I jumped one of the barriers to get into the doors of my office building cause she thought I was cutting the line. She was then yelling "You won't get in there, they won't let you in!!!" Of course, security recognized me and they opened the door.

It's such a great event, but it's gotta be hard with parents with strollers. The crowds are huge.

these are amazing. That grainy, high ISO look looks awesome in b&w. Shots like this and this (and several others in this set) are incredible - perfect composition.

Thanks, means a lot coming from you. I haven't any photography training, I just keep at it. I didn't realize that we had really similarly titled threads last month until just now!

awesome photos! I'm never in Chicago for Christmas, but I remember when I lived on State Street, for school, I loved watching the Christmas crowds . I was on the 12th floor, and capable of seeing the pack of brown and black coats turn into pinks and blues, as the easter egg colored suburnites came to shop for Christmas. This black & white set is beautiful!

Very nice noise and black and white treatment. Very reminiscent of black and white film.
