great pics, the museum district and the philip johnson fountains are a treasure. lot of interesting architecture in Ft Worth. some more downtown residential and the place would be set.

do people get how epic a building this is?

We are adding quite a bit of residential, there's about 2,500 units under construction of proposed right now and we've already added a few thousand over the past few years.

I think people get it, it's a landmark. However, it's location is a bit sour as it's essentially in a crumbling parking lot.

I worked as an intern at the National Weather Service office in downtown Fort Worth in the 70s in between semesters at UT Austin. It was a nice city to me, with well preserved buildings. One thing I remember was the hilly and woodsy west side where the pretty neighborhoods were. The freeways in the 70s were already clogged but I'm sure they've been expanded more than once since then.

Believe it or not, I've not been in the downtown area since then. I may drive up there this fall.

Haven't been to Ft.Worth in about 7 years, downtown was still pretty active too in comparison to downtown Dallas then. These pics make me want to go back next time I go back home in Texas.

oh yeah that train station building is indeed epic in scale. its really something.

the best thing about ft worth these days is that somehow, someway they got rid of the weird soul crushing giant parking lot in the middle of downtown that was sundance square and made it a nice and human friendly space that now connects everything up instead of divides it.

My biggest cannot-figure-it-out-by-myself question is that can you see Dallas skyline from Fort Worth?

The last picture kinda explains some but I have to make sure the skyline far distance is Dallas's.

It's the West Fork of the Trinity River... and its floodplain. It floods.
