I had no idea this place was still around. It's hiding behind the Tantus building on 108 St.

Went back to Taste of Edmonton to burn up another stack of food tix.

Normands - Beef Short Ribs and Mash: fantastico!
Hotel Mac - Pork Taco: another winner
Underground - Bison Slider: not bad
Underground - Mac & Cheese Ball: delish!
Freson Bros - Roasted Pig: good but not a must-have
La Pasta - Calamari: meh
Bully food truck - Bully Mac: good
went back for favorites from last time (Montreal Smoked Meat sammich, Lemongrass Beef Skewer)
Sutton - Chocolate Shooter: a desert must-have

Wrapped things up with a glass of wine, but had to wait for a ridiculously long beer garden lineup to get it. Caught the first couple of tunes by hoser rawk icon Kim Mitchell then called it a night.

K&M grocery on 99 ave/107st today for Bulgogi. Best in the city i'd say, $7.25 is a steal.

Surely I can't be the only SSP member who's been going to the Taste of Edmonton, am I? C'mon, lets see some reviews.

If you're going tonight or tomorrow, a few blogs to chew on.

Point (Taste of Edmonton simply 'awful')

2 counter-points:

Went a few times. My favourites:

Beef lemongrass skewer from Hoang Long
Pork taco with kimchi from Hotel MacDonald
Beef short ribs from Normand's
Dry spicy chicken from Lingnan (of course)
Orange cream cheesecake on a stick from Cheesecake Cafe
Fois Gras peanut butter and jelly sandwich from Sandwich and Sons

^ It was actually quite good, but not something you would want to eat every day.

When I have found myself out of the office during the day I usually stop there. Sandwiches are great.

The Fried Egg sandwich is a good morning starter.

Noticed Last night that BOCO Pizza and Wine bar had its official opening. This is Sorentino's new concept place in St Albert.

I drive by it quite often. Great to know that it's now open.

"Signs for a new State and Main restaurant, plastered in the windows of the new office complex at the corner of Jasper Avenue and 101st Street, have picqued the curiosity of the hungry downtown lunch crowd. But a call to the public relations firm representing the Alberta-based chain reveals that despite claims the restaurant launches this fall, there no plans to open the latest YEG location of this mid-range eatery until sometime in 2016. stateandmain.ca"

As I recall it took them forever to open in Southgate... "coming soon" sign was there a long time... must be their shtick.

Hopefully they don't take as long as the downtown V Sandwiches. V's last twitter update mentioned that they've hit some snags.

New brew pub called 'Situation Brewing' planned for that vacant book shop space across from Von's on 104 Street & 81 Avenue:
