Too bad, I liked the 5 story mixed-use design. I guess that the new version will probably look like Alta Scottsdale/ Alta Tempe...4 stories no retail fronting Scottsdale road...those projects are apparently being financed more readily.

Envy, the marketing campaign doesnt seem that professional for the this 8 story building in old town. seems like they only are promoting to the night life crowd based on the pics/campaign

A Los Angeles developer that owns the Galleria Corporate Centre in Scottsdale wants to build a new Class A office building next door in Old Town.

Stockdale Capital Partners wants to develop a 250,700-square-foot office project called the Marquee at the District near Scottsdale and Camelback roads.

The new office building would be adjacent to the Galleria. Stockdale bought that commercial property in 2013.

Stockdale Vice President Sean Blitz hopes to attract technology tenants to the project. A number of California — including Yelp — and New York tech firms have recently located in Scottsdale....

Stetson construction update. This has taken up a pretty large footprint in the Entertainment District. Also, Envy is moving dirt between Stetson and Hotel Indigo. Lots going on in Scottsdale!

I was riding along the canal in Scottsdale last night and noticed dirt being moved and bulldozer equipment in the lot directly behind where Blue Sky was to be built. I can'f find anything on it. Anyone know what's going on?

Pictures of the new Scottsdale Fashion Square Addition

Pictures of the new SFS addition on the NE corner of the mall taken on July 12 2015. It appears the work is almost complete. The lattice work is really beautiful and I love all the use of glass.

Pics of Stetson West taken August 8 2015

These pics are of the Stetson West project taken on August 8. The project looks incredible. I love how the building abuts the street grid - i.e. one does not have to walk through a gate or a surface street parking lot to get out of the complex. One just walks out the front door of the lobby and BOOM - the city is right there. It has a very urban feel to it for this reason.

Yeah, they've been buying up everything in old town because they have a huge masterplan of redeveloping the entire east side of Scottsdale road into a massive mixed use entertainment district. It was talked about in the past its like a 20 year plan. They are just assembling the land for now.

Well the Galleria is set to expand north to Stetson and build another office building and these guys just purchased all the land left to the N. East and S E corner of camelback

Also in the area, Envy is close to topping out and the Corner of Miller and Camelback Circle K is putting in pumps, not the best but better than an empty dirt lot.

Also a handful of smaller Condo/townhome projects popping up in South west old town near the Valley Ho.

Envy Construction Update

Was driving around Scottsdale today. Thought I would grab a quick update of Envy. Kind of gives a hint of Edison Midtown ;-)

3 million square feet of commercial space for One Scottsdale proposed, with developer DMB asking for a bump in height from 60' to 90'.

This is an odd combination of dense sprawl, if it could qualify as either. It's sprawl but borders the inner loop. It's dense, but with surface parking.
