This is the BIG Farmers Market just two blocks outside 285 (on the left).

I would say it is predominately Asian, but they have everything - even a Russian/Eastern European section.

The seafood market is the size of a food court, and they have everything you could think of.

This is where Richard Blais took Anthony Bourdain when he did Layover: Atlanta.

Bourdain freaked that we had something like this here, and actually said "Atlanta is the new Singapore!"

Bantu and Jeannette and Co. Bakery coming to Viewpoint; and RReal Tacos coming to Skyhouse South.

Also talked to barista at Starbucks in Viewpoint and they heard they will be moving back to their original location by 2016 (Seventh condo building should be done then).

Savi provisions taking space adjacent the margaret mitchell house

This is great news since none of the developers hoping to lure another grocer to Midtown has been successful.

Ponce City Market announces another round of retail shops

Quote:
Scheduled to roll open this summer, the latest additions to the roster include: Q Custom Clothier, RYE 51, CorePower Yoga, Onward Reserve, and Lily Rain.

These new additions to the roster—which Phillips says is now “pretty complete”—will join already announced outposts of Madewell, Anthropologie, Williams-Sonoma, the Frye Company, local online retailer Oakleaf & Acorn, and more. One thing we’re most excited about: The “makers market” on the second floor, with permanent booths for local artisans and vendors, modeled in part after Jamestown’s Chelsea Market’s Artists & Fleas. It’s like a pop-up that never disappears.

Topgolf Atlanta Rising Toward Summer Opening

This will be a huge hit.

From a vacant Westside industrial site, Topgolf Atlanta is rising in spectacular fashion right now, like a giant arrow pointed toward Vinings. The above drone image, captured by the Beltline Broker company, shows the scale of the 65,000-square-foot facility and how it's changing the character of this acreage along Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard, about three miles west of Georgia Tech.

Revelator Coffee is moving into Suite 2 of Square on Fifth according to permits filed 07/30

Starbucks filed plans 2 weeks ago for its buildout of the retail space for the new Seventh Midtown building and its permit is close to approved so they should be able to hit the ground running when they are able to start building their retail space.

Top Golf

The article says opening August 8th with the official opening August 14th? So August 8th is some kind of soft opening?

With the success of Cypress Street Pint & Plate, Grain, and Tavern Pointe, owners are planning another restaurant in Midtown:
http://whatnowatlanta.com/billy-stre...pizza-concept/

A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta recently to buildout the forthcoming restaurant at the corner of 6th and West Peachtree Streets in The Biltmore Hotel... The yet-to-be-named pizza joint will replace The Biltmore Cafe and Grill, at 817 West Peachtree St. NW."

Ponce City Market opens Food Hall, Beltline connection

In case anyone has been out of the country or under a rock. I think there were only 4 businesses open in the food hall so there is still a lot more to come.

That is NOT a good enough reason to build this crap!

I'm actually surprised that the little Ferris wheel has lasted this long. I guess the sheer number of visitors to downtown is the reason for its success.
