Really cool Paul! Interesting silhouette on the twisting tower!

Perhaps a sign that I spend too much time on this site... Last night I was working on the new WTC model and I was putting down a layer of grey bricks that will serve as a foundation under the memorial plaza.

My first thought: I bet some of the guys over at SSP would be excited seeing this new concrete pour.

Haha! Around here, if new steel goes up on Tower One, BAM- four more pages in a day!

Looking forward to seeing it completed!

So, you are building the entire WTC site? It could be awhile before you can complete towers 2 and 3. Seeing models of both the old and new WTC complexes next to each other could be thought-provoking.

Meanwhile, I am still bogged down rebuilding my Fisher Building (version 3):

This picture shows the a section of the old version on the right and the new version on the left.

I constructed the old version of the Fisher Building before I met Spencer; the new version uses some techniques I learned from him and others I came up with on my own.

P.S. Unlike some years, I actually received two LEGO sets for Christmas: The Brandenburg Gate and Burj Khalifa Architecture series sets!

Just thought I'd share some of my plans with you guys:

I'm knee-deep in designing a relatively small, but definitely striking building that I think has undeservingly had very little notice over the years. This will probably be my final project before I dive head first into the parts-gathering stage for my WFC model. Since it won't be a large model, I should be able to finish it very soon!

Think "Art Deco"

Speaking of Art Deco buildings, here's one I made (the roofs are unfinished):

Sears Tower

I know the Sears Tower has been done a couple times, but I thought I would build my spin of the tower. The last couple pieces came this morning, so I was able to put the finishing touches on it. again, i know its not very original, but I thought it would be good for my first model

Also, I cannot wait to see the 2 WTC model. I experimented a bit with a suitable facade for that building, but could not completely decide. Instead, I've been considering the Rockefeller Center, its so pretty, but we'll see

Nice model. Hopefully you didn't find building it to be too repetitive!

Looks amazing! I love the detail of the facade. You did a great job! I'd love to do something like this as well!

Thank you Spencer for pointing this out to me...

It looks like the upcoming Sydney Opera House Architecture set is going to have trans-black plates!

For those who don't know, trans-black plates have only been made in the 1x2 dimension and we haven't seen them since 2003 when they were in two Star Wars mini model sets. Thankfully though, this one has them! Obviously they could be 1x1's, but either way, I'll be giving a few of my models minor makeovers after I get some of these!

Might I suggest on the lakefront near your new concentration of supertalls?

Nope, but great suggestion! New York is more of Spencer's 'stomping ground.' Maybe we could get him to do that building.
