Omg same here. This one always escapes me...especially that it'll be 44 floors!

Me too. And this one is quite substantial and covers up a blank wall so I don't know why I keep forgetting about it until someone posts here. 44 floors and 500 plus feet are sweet spot numbers for me, my new preferred minimums.

I like that shelf. Protect the Roosevelt Room at all costs!

I wonder if the owners of the Roosevelt are having any second thoughts about not selling to Hanover? That site will never again have value as a potential high-rise site, and since the no-sale, a pandemic killed their business. With that said it's still pretty cool to have a small place like that sandwiched between two high-rises.

The former Frank's site could end up the same way. But there is conflicting info as to whether or not it is part of the Tower 5C site.

I highly doubt Roosevelt Room are having second thoughts about not selling. The owners and employees of Roosevelt Room are some of the most passionate about their work I've ever met in the business.

Not to mention, if they ever were to sell, while it couldn't be to a high-rise development (unless we go full Hong Kong or Tokyo in building codes), it's still highly desirable location. That said, from what I understand, they have no desire to do that any time soon.

I’d build myself a 5 or 6 story townhouse. Perfect spot for it now.

To be honest, the Plaza Lofts are going to very soon be in a prime spot for redevelopment, too. The Lofts is only a 10 story building -- if you bought them out and knocked it down -- and then rolled the Roosevelt lot into the package -- you could have a pretty respectable footprint for something much bigger fronting the park.

I like the RRoom just fine as-is, but at the same time I wouldn't count it out of further development either.

At least you were wondering about it. I keep forgetting about it for some reason.

I just keep staring at the Indeed Tower whenever I'm looking at the skyline from the west. I have to admit, I've forgotten about this one a time or two.

There was a brownstone on 86th near me in NYC that was sandwiched between two co-op buildings. Someone held out 100 years ago hard

^ I like it when that happens. It can't *always* happen with every single old building, of course, but to keep a handful of historic buildings is kinda fun and gives a neat texture to a city, in my opinion.

Yes. It also provides distance between the highrises which allows for a better view of the whole building.

Roosevelt Room is my favorite bar and the only reason I ever go downtown, so I hope it doesn't get replaced with a condo.
