Finished another one! Frost Bank Tower (the original). You can download it here http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...eb56a9&ct=mdsa at least until, hopefully, Google adds it to their 3D buildings layer. I also updated the textures on the Milam and the Weston Centre-- I didn't like the way they looked on Google Earth so I redid them with Virtual Earth Textures.

More to come!

Don't forget Municiple plaza. It should be one of the easiest buildings downtown to illustrate.

Those are really nice. I can't help but notice how brown the buildings are, though. A nice shade of light tannish-brown.

You know what strikes me funny, and this isn't aimed at you by any means, just made me think of it...everybody always talks about how brown SA's skyline is when, save for Fountain Place and BOAP, Dallas' skyline is brown. And while I don't advocate the color pink, I think the Marriott Rivercenter being pink lends some interestingness. I actually think SA's skyline is the most interesting skyline in Texas.

The brownness is certainly not unique to SA. I mean, look at NYC! A vast sea of older brown buildings with newer glass towers jutting out. It was the style back then, like blue glass is the style now.

^^ Kevin, I think that might be a CPS building-- it's connected with a skybridge to that white building with a huge parking garage underneath we were talking about in another thread a long time ago. Not sure though.

More:

BOA Plaza

Wurzbach Tower in the medical center

Thanks! I feel like I've still got a lot to learn with Sketchup, but I'm happy with how they're coming out. I still can't wait to see ydoc14's GH finished. That one looks great. Here some's more buildings:

Jefferson Bank:

Municipal Plaza:

Nix:

All the models so far in parallel perspective:

Wow! Great job. Keep it up. You should post these over in the Google Sketchup section of the forum too.
