Very few cities in this country are as thickly packed with architectural treasures as St. Louis. Despite everything that's already been knocked down and lost due to neglect, fire or abandonment, it's still chock full of amazing buildings. These photos are really outstanding and compelling. Gorgeous!!!

The Chase Park Plaza is my favorite highrise in St. Louis because of it's looming presence over Forest Park. The pic of it with the storm clouds approaching it from behind is terrific.

I'm not sure how I feel about elk meat.

However, I do know how I feel about these photos.

Your photos, and St. Louis itself, are equally impressive. Thanks!

OK HIMS, fess up. Who REALLY took these pics? C'mon, what book did you find them in?

Skip-to-my-Lou indeed. Amazing stuff, congrats and thanks.

@ the pope, elk meat ain't bad. Had some elk sausage once (my roomate hunted the rascal down out in Montana).

It's the love Ex, it's the love. Oddly enough, one of the photos might be appearing in a book at some point, but I'm not holding my breath.

For anyone that doesn't know, all the intro text is from a Sega game called "Zero Wing" which had some really great Engrish translations.

I was in STL on business in summer 2000 and loved every minute of my visit (except for the cramped pod that took us to the top of the arch!). The downtown area was VERY nice.
