Some good news for our sorry KINGS
A Kings championship, of sorts
As of Nov. 1, the Sacramento Kings led the NBA in full-season ticket sales and were No. 2 in full-season equivalent sales, says our sister publication SportsBusiness Journal, citing an unnamed league source.
The Kings sold 13,795 full-season tickets, beating out the Miami Heat at 13,763. The teams switched places in full-season equivalent sales, with Miami at 14,150 and Sacramento at 13,901.
"The NBA's emphasis on having teams hire bigger sales staffs and be more creative with partial-season ticketing plans appears to be paying off," it reports. Full-season sales grew by 3 percent, while full-season equivalent sales rose 5 percent.
