Seeing as how most forumers' sentiments that Mayor Mandel is the best civic leader Edmonton has ever had, and a warm response to the idea i alluded to on the arena forum that a petition should be created to convince Mr.Mandel to continue a fourth term. With that said, how should we commence this. Any and every thought are welcome.

I wouldn't mind a concept of product branding- with Mayor Mandel approval - which could be used to help charities; especially one that will help children. Stollery, Little Warrior, or hot lunch program. I'll leave it at that at this early stage. I have no experience in this avenue, so for those with expertise or some form of background, please stand up!

Show the man some love. Tell him how much he's appreciated. It must be extremely hard to put up with the BS people heap on him, and certainly building up his spirits can't hurt.

That, and show him what the alternative would be without him around. Nothing like a good guilt trip!

I will be calling the office of the mayor and passing on the message that we want him for another term as their are to many issues that need to be resolved . I also think it would not hurt to call the Edmonton journal and have some one do an article about the petition to have him for another term.

I would love it if Mandel runs for a fourth term but it really is up to him if he wants to run or not.

Concur 100%. However, my 33 yrs. as an Edmontonian, Mandel is the only leader that has vission and direction for this city; so this petition is for the purpose of encouraging him for a fourth. Whether he choose or not for another term, he definitely has that democratic right!

No petition has yet been set; at this stage, im using Edmonton's SSP as a mean to get further ideas and correlated with my thoughts; and to get preliminary feed backs from fellow forumers to determine if this would even be feasible. Anyone wishing to partake is welcome.
