Wow, what a beautiful place! I really like those shots at Waiheke Island -- I'm a sucker for sunlight glimmering on the water. Let's see, a question...I know, from where did you take those first couple of shots, and assuming it was a building, did you get a shot of it?

The first photo was taken from the porch of my friend's apartment in the city
and the others are taken from the sky tower

ps, what are you using to generate your vb code from flickr? I've been doing mine through quickr pickr, and i feel like there has to be a more precise method out there.

Waiheke Island is only half an hour ferry from Auckland so you can explore it in a day

Dont call it Aussieland, the Kiwi's dont appreciate that...

Great pictures, love seeing the rainy and green city. My sister is there right now, for the first time since she was a kid.

What was the temperatures then and now, I noticed some kids still going in the water? Its what, mid-autumn right now?

Well Auckland and the islands north of it have a temperate warm climate and high humidity so it's not unusual to see people wearing short sleeves clothing during this time. When I was there it was about 22 C

>> My first thought - Chinese city. Not sure why, the concrete, the mountains, the avenues, maybe. Where is the statue of Mao Ze Dong!
