A bunch of south west Edmontom updates

I was bored this evening so I figured I would go out and pick up a slush. However, my car was driving really well with the grand worth of front end parts I just put in so I decided to drive around and take some shots.

Mazonokowski looks sooo hot.

bling bling yo

I'm really disapointed on how this reno turned out. Could have been pretty cool.

For those who havne't seen the glazing and glass on the Century Park office building

almost forgot

Here's a crazy looking house being built down the street. Look at those tiny Windows. Hopefully the ones facing the ravine are bigger..

I don't believe that reno on 109 Street is completed, they still have to paint the stucco. It is a hair salon.

Shouldn't you be out buying a giant spoiler and 4" exhaust for your rice rocket?

SHOFEAR - you might want to rotate some of those CP/Heritage Mall pics. It'll be a lot easier when we don't end up getting sore necks!

Good pics, though.

BTW, it looks like the demoing of Heritage Mall is taking a lot longer than it should.

"BTW, it looks like the demoing of Heritage Mall is taking a lot longer than it should."

they are in no rush and they are recycling most material (steel/copper/brick) so it will take longer than traditional demos

They sold the salvage rights to the demolishing contractor. So there is a lot of pulling out of equipment.
They are salvaging a lot of the high voltage or high amperage distribution equipment.

^Copper is worth a bloody fortune right now... we just replaced a chilled water coil bank downtown (3 coils- 4'x8' each) and I got $4,500.00 for the three rotten old copper tube & fin coils

Wire is worth less 'cause it is considered "dirty", but it's is still worth selling to the scrap yard

If you take the time to skin the wire you get pretty good prices.

The thing that is worth a lot more in that mall however is the 4-5 13.8kv to 600V transformers and all the low voltage distribution equipment.

Pfft you have commercial garage or something?!

Check out save-on electric on 97st and uhhh maybe 40th ave for used equipment. It will save you a ton...oh and if you are looking for someone to do the electrical let me know!

^No, I just like over-building residential applications with commercial equipment hehe.. I actually need that panel for the house to replace that stupid 100amp cheap-ass POS Stablok that's in there right now... I need a couple'a 240v circuits for a welder and a compressor in the garage so I'd like to put a nice pony panel out there too... need to pull a new circuit through an underground conduit from the house to the garage... that should be fun

Right now I am designing a commercial grade VAV system for my house... as soon as I get the drawing and specs done I'll post in the engineering forum

In the spirit of the thread from a few weeks back (the one about Edmonton addresses in a quadrant system), shoudm't this thread acutally be called 'A bunch of north west Edmonton updates'??? seeing as they are all technically in NW Edmonton.
